Welcome to The Church of Jesus Christ’s education site where you will find convenient access to online scriptures, and lesson plans supporting the faith and doctrine of the Church.

The Church of Jesus Christ, headquartered in Monongahela, PA, presents the Bible and the Book of Mormon in a single mobile app. This is the only app having the two scripture volumes together, thus fulfilling Ezekiel 37:17 where the Lord declares that he will take the stick (book) of Judah and the stick of Joseph and make them one in His hand. The Bible is the Stick of Judah and the Book of Mormon is the Stick of Joseph.

The Bible and Book of Mormon app treats the two volumes of scripture as one, and makes it easier than ever to read, study and share the Word of God. The Bible text is the Authorized King James Version from 1611 and The Book of Mormon text is carefully consistent with 1830 version.

LESSON PLANS

The General Church Priesthood has commissioned the preparation and distribution of a curriculum of lesson resources, to enhance the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical growth of all who attend The Church of Jesus Christ worldwide and to promote unity of belief among the people of the Church.

The Education Committee is composed of church members who willingly devote their time to this mission. Teachers of classes for all grade levels are encouraged to utilize the lesson site for teaching material.

SUGGESTIONS FOR TEACHERS

Take a prayerful approach to lesson preparation, relying on inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

  • Read and research scriptures and other sources.
  • Meditate on the Word

Customize the lesson to your audience and take ownership for it.

  • Select a lesson plan that reflects the grade level of your audience. Read through the material and evaluate its appropriateness. Decide if it is a good "fit" or not.
  • Look at lesson plans that are above and below the grade level of your audience to find a better "fit."
  • Blend ideas from more than one grade level to tailor the lesson plan.
  • Supplement the lesson material with your inspired thoughts and ideas.

We hope that the implementation of the Church lesson plans will serve to lay a foundation of faith that will lead many to believe on Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who offers salvation to all mankind through obedience to His Gospel; that the instruction may point them on the path to eternal life in the kingdom of heaven.
